Back in the early ’00s, the Cold War Kids benefited in a big way from the new power of music blogs to help break bands that weren’t being played on your local radio station. While in retrospect the press was both a blessing and a curse, it did help the soul-punk act get instant audiences when they headed out on tour. The Long Beach-based band will release their fourth studio album, Dear Miss Lonely Hearts, on April 2 via Downtown Records, and have given fans an advance taste of what’s to come via the lead single Miracle Mile. The band has also announced that they will head out on a lengthy world tour, that kicks off with a gig at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, Calif. on Feb. 15, and wraps at the end of May with a pair of shows in Southern California’s Los Angeles and Solana Beach.
If you’re not into a night with the former blog buzz band, then maybe you’ll be interested in hitting one of these recently announced tours…
