Earlier this month it was announced that Belle & Sebastian would be one of the headliners alongside Bjork and R. Kelly for the eighth annual Pitchfork Music Festival, which will return once again to Chicago’s Union Park from July 19 – 21.The Glasgow-based band, whose 1998 album If You’re Feeling Sinister is the subject of a fantastic new P4K documentary, which you can watch below, have now announced a short North American tour leading up to their headlining appearance.

The band will hit a handful of Canadian music festivals, before hooking up with Yo La Tengo for a five-date East Coast co-headlining tour that kicks off at the Bank of America Pavilion on July 9 and includes stops in Philly, Brooklyn, DC and Pittsburgh.
