Nearly three months after Perpetual Groove announced they would be parting ways for a dreaded “indefinite hiatus,” we’ve made it to the day of the “final show.” Not only will Perpetual Groove offer their farewell performance tonight at the Georgia Theatre, but Ghost Owl will make their debut this evening as well. Last night, PGroove offered up two acoustic sets at the Green Room in Athens.
For the quartet’s acoustic finale, they mixed originals from throughout their career with covers from Funkadelic (Can You Get To That) and Modest Mouse (Float On). Fittingly, It Starts Where It Ends served as the lone encore. Watch a brief clip of Perpetual Groove covering Float On…
