Official Audio: Jerry Garcia Band feat. Phil Lesh – Dear Prudence

Back on Monday we told you about the Jerry Garcia estate selling a version of the Grateful Dead front man’s iconic black t-shirt that comes with a download card which will get you a crystal-clear recording of the Jerry Garcia Band’s first-ever show at San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre. Today, we bring you a taste of what the estate has dubbed “GarciaLive 1.5” from June 26th, 1981.

Here’s audio of a fantastic version of Dear Prudence featuring Phil Lesh on bass…

There’s only a few days left to order the t-shirt and download card package.

  1. tasty track, Jerry sounds great and the jam is nice and slow…not enticed to buy a expensive black t-shirt though just to get the download

  2. Jerry would laugh his ass off if he could see this shit they are hawking. dont get me wrong the image of Jerry (on the label of the t-shirt is dope) but why not go get the haynes brand same exact one 3 t-shirts for 14.99 and give your money to corporate America as opposed to the wicked ex-wives club of JG (MG not included) Damn

  3. $25 for a blank black t-shirt? Wow. There truly is a sucker born every minute. Ever heard of bit torrents?

  4. Yeah, not bad art work, looks like old bill Graham style show posters done by the art crew & Owsley, though mixed w/ a touch of modern cheesy. Im not to sure about supporting corporate America unless printed on recycled cotton, that I as well as the community in which we all come from say, it’s not happening. I agree Jerry would be very disappointed to see that woman & kid destroying everything he stood for, to feed her need to spend money. He as well as MANY OTHERS, knew what he was getting into when he married the woman, so for this we can either pay or not. I don’t find it cool for her to with hold the musical archives, from which we all grew up on together. Robert hunter & Jerry Garcia both owned 42% of Grateful Dead Productions & the rest of the band w/ what percentage is left. I wonder who now owns Roberts since we have lost him to, to the best in History, I say ” Thanks For A Real Good Time” RIP…. Not Fade Away….

  5. Right here is the right site for everyone who really wants to understand this topic. You understand so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually will need to…HaHa). You definitely put a fresh spin on a subject that’s been written about for years. Great stuff, just great!|
