Last night Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band returned to headline the Hard Rock Calling festival in London, where last year’s performance ended earlier than The Boss would’ve liked, cutting short a Paul McCartney guest spot on Twist And Shout. There were no such issues at this year’s festival, which was held in London’s Olympic Park. Springsteen treated the huge crowd to a complete rendition of 1984’s Born In The USA album, requests for Reason To Believe, Johnny 99 and Jungleland plus much more over the course of the 29-song festival set.
Also of note, The Boss brought out country-rocker Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band to help out on Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out. Brown looked to be in heaven as he joined Springsteen’s huge band sporting an acoustic guitar and a huge shit-eating grin. Take a look…
