Hubcap Guitarist Seasick Steve to Release New LP on Third Man Records

Seasick Steve - Hubcap Music Cover

Seasick Steve isn’t your typical guitarist. Not unless your definition of “typical guitarist” includes a guitar made from a garden hoe and two hubcaps. But he’s made a reputable name for himself with his, well, unique spin on modern blues. On October 8th, he’ll release Hubcap Music, his second LP on Jack White’s label, Third Man Records.

The album features White on a track called “The Way I Do,” along with Led Zep legend John Paul Jones on various tracks, playing bass, mandolin, Hammond organ, and other instruments.

Seasick Steve’s unorthodox approach has made waves in the U.K., where’s he’s earned four gold and one platinum album, national TV and festival slots, and multiple award nominations. His Third Man debut, You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks, was released in 2011.
