Boston Calling has announced its September 2014 lineup, which will take place September 5, 6 and 7, 2014 at the city’s historic City Hall Plaza [One City Hall Square, Boston, Massachusetts]. After playing to a sold out crowd at the inaugural Boston Calling last May, The National is back to headline and joining them at the top of the bill are Lorde, The Replacements, back for their first Boston show since 1991, Nas, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his debut album Illmatic and collaborating with The Roots, who will also perform their own set, and Neutral Milk Hotel. Early bird tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10AM EST at www.bostoncalling.com, www.ticketmaster.com.
Produced by Crash Line Productions, Boston Calling will deliver 22 live performances this September. As with the festival’s first three editions, September’s lineup was co-curated by Aaron Dessner, The National. Other acts of interest include Childish Gambino, Spoon, Girl Talk, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, Sky Ferreira, Lake Street Dive, who notably originated in Boston, and The War on Drugs to name a few.
