Great Big Sea Announces U.S. Tour

Platinum-selling Canadian favorites Great Big Sea has released today, June 24th, 2008, their new cd, Fortune’s Favour in the US and Canada with distribution through Red Eye in the US and the band’s long-time label, Warner Brothers Records in Canada, where the band remains based.
 
A major national tour in support of Fortune’s Favour has been announced today.  The tour will kick off on Friday, August 15th, in Buffalo, NY, and is currently set to run through November 2008.  Great Big Sea has been confirmed for NPR’s World Café on August 18th, following their show in Philadelphia.  More dates are expected to follow.  This is the band’s first US tour since 2002, when they appeared as part of the critically acclaimed Uprooted tour.
