Today, BitTorrent announced their most epic Bundle to date – Thom Yorke’s new album, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes. Available exclusively via BitTorrent Bundle, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes is the first ever paygated torrent in history.
After teasing the album with an ambiguous tweet earlier this week and igniting a wave of predictions and rumors, Radiohead’s front man has officially announced his partnership with BitTorrent Bundle to release his new record, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes – his first solo record in 8 years.
“If it works well, it could be an effective way of handing some control of internet commerce back to the people who are creating the work…enabling those people who make either music, video or any other kind of digital content to sell it themselves.” Yorke said in a statement available here.
The Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes Bundle features a new video and 8 new tracks from Yorke.

Yorke’s partnership with BitTorrent also marks the launch of the BitTorrent Bundle with paygates, which allows artists to monetize their Bundle content directly. Fans can download the album here and pay using a credit card or PayPal in 140 currencies. The publisher covers the transaction fees and BitTorrent takes 10% after that.
