Widespread Panic Plans Denver New Years Show

After finishing a string of Canadian dates, headlining Bonnaroo and playing multiple sold-out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Widespread Panic is hitting the road again in the fall.

The run, which begins Oct. 10-11 in Austin, Texas, will be Panic’s last full tour until late 2009, according to the band. Included in the itinerary are New Year’s Eve shows on Dec. 30-31 in Denver and Panic’s first Halloween show in New Orleans in six years.

The Yonder Mountain String Band will open the New Year’s shows. Fan club members can purchase tour tickets beginning Sept. 8, with public on-sale set for Oct. 11.

In June, Panic launched a new series of archival releases with the three-disc set "Carbondale 2000." Also on the horizon is Widespread Panic’s induction into the Georgia Hall of Fame, set for Sept. 20.
