““Smart Man,” the last cut to make my new album, Jet Engines, was written as I was evaluating whether it was time to go back into the studio. The song is about making the continued commitment to pursue a career path more for passion than security and the inevitability of suffering, the impermanence of existence and the freedom that comes with the acceptance of those facts.”
