Fresh off a January tour that included a powerful hometown show and two lauded sold-out performances at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium, Gregg Allman has announced a spring tour that will take him from Northfield, OH, on March 13 all the way to Austin, TX, on May 9, with stops along the way including the Wanee Festival, Stagecoach and two shows at Chicago’s House of Blues. Allman has also been nominated for a Best American Roots Performance GRAMMY Award for his performance with Taj Mahal of “Statesboro Blues” on 2014’s Gregg Allman: All My Friends (Rounder).
Allman’s touring band has been receiving raves and features: guitarist Scott Sharrard, Peter Levin on keys, drummer Steve Potts, percussionist Marc Quinones, Ron Johnson on bass and horn players Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Marc Franklin.
