Wilco, Band of Horses, Ryan Adams, Hozier, Flaming Lips, Paramore, Lenny Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Pixies, John Fogerty, Wale are among the acts that will appear at the 2015 Beale Street Music Festival. The 38th edition of fest runs from May 1-3 at Tom Lee Park in Memphis.
Others who were also confirmed include singer-songwriters St. Vincent, and Jenny Lewis, f George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Lecrae and G-Eazy, Cage the Elephant and Breaking Benjamin.
The festival will be be highlighting roots oriented acts including Alejandro Escovedo and Robert Randolph & the Family Band as well as Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn. They’ll join a selection of ’90s rockers such as the Spin Doctors and Soul Asylum, as well as oGuns n’ Roses guitarist Slash (who’ll be playing with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators) and Scott Weiland (of Stone Temple Pilots), who’ll be leading his new band the Wildabouts. As is tradition, the festival will also be showcasing a selection of national and regional blues and R&B performers: among them, soul survivor Bettye LaVette, blues vet Tinsley Ellis and Mississippi bluesman Leo “Bud” Welch.
