ALBUM PREMIERE- No Dry County – “The Night Before”

Americana/folk rock band No Dry County are releasing their debut full length album The Night Before on March 10, 2015.  No Dry County, better known as NDC, now comprised of Trent Langford (Singer/Songwriter/Guitar/Keys), Matt Newsom (Drums/Vocals), Dub Wood (Bass/Vocals), Jonathan Dunlap (Guitars/Vocals), and Bristen Phillips (Guitars/Keys), began in 2009, as an 80’s cover band. Developing a sound of their own, NDC released their debut EP Ella Rose in 2011 and their sophomore EP To Whom It May Concern in 2012, followed by their first national tour.  Fusing each member’s influences, including Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Hayes Carll, rock, metal, blues and country, “the resulting sound infuses Americana with classic rock, creating heartfelt music filled with lyrics about real life, real places, and real people…the kind of music that everyone can relate to.” (KFLP) No Dry County has been honing their sound, performing over 100 dates per year and making appearances at their hometown venue, The Blue Light Live. Now, the group is set to release their first full length album, The Night Before which Glide is thrilled to premiere.

“Most of this record was written in the van and it probably shows when you dig into the lyrics,” says Langford.  “It’s been somewhat of a coming of age record for us both musically and as a band. We were able to take our time over 6 months (or two years depending on your perspective) and let the album breathe without forcing deadlines or boxing ourselves in with expectations of how it was “supposed” to sound. We brought in Jay Saldana (Wade Bowen) and Josh Serrato (William Clark Green) on this one, who along with engineer Alan Crossland, provided input that was both invaluable and super rock n roll. As far as the message goes, we didn’t write in any specific direction other than truth telling and trying to be brutally honest about the things we’ve experienced over the last 2 years. With that in mind it probably hits home with people who are in uncertain chapters of life, anxious about what’s ahead but living without fear. However, I think there’s something in there for everybody from sloppy Stones rock to introspective folk tunes.”
