Tweedy hit up “Conan” and performed “World Away” from Sukierae (check out the sticky bass line) further emphasizing all that’s “dad rock” with son Spencer. Conan O’Brien has a connection with Tweedy as he recently appeared in their Nick Offerman directed video for “Low Key.”

“Places You Will Go,” the latest track from Patrick Watson’s upcoming record Love Songs For Robots, premiered last week. Although he’s got a common stage name, his tunes are anything but, especially if you love Andrew Bird leaning indie folk.

Early votes are in that the new Lord Huron album might be their best yet and one of the year’s best. The video for “Fool For Love,” the lead single off their forthcoming album Strange Trails debuted and all the video is not worth much, the song is a winner.

Merge Records put Hiss Golden Messenger’s MC Taylor and Mount Moriah’s Heather McEntire in a room together and let the two Durham, North Carolina-based artists share some keen thoughts on their artistry and inspirations.

Sam Cohen isn’t with the Yellowbirds no more, but he’s on his way to some pretty cool things with his debut album under his own name. The chill track “The Garden” from the upcoming full-length album, Cool It premiered and it will definitely warm up to fans of psychedelic guitar pop.

FKA Twigs stepped behind the camera to direct the video for “Glass and Patron” as part of the promo for the YouTube Music Awards. It begins with her giving birth to a rainbow shawl, after which she heads to a runway in the middle of the forest to partake in what a press release describes as “the most epic vogue battle of all time.”
