Shakedown on K Street

The good people over at Weir Freaking have uncovered a set of pictures and video footage of Thursday night’s Nancy Pelosi Presents show in Washington:

Ain’t it just wonderful to see the liberals back in power, using their compassionate guilt to take a homeless man off the streets, dress him up in a suit and let him play lead guitar at a major Congressional function? Oh shit, sorry, that’s Warren Haynes.

Check out the Washington Post review of the House band, and then check out these cool photo sets from the show: Flickr via Weir Freaking and Ratboard.

  1. I looked thru the Flickr photos. Holy crap is that Bill Kreutzmann or Old Man Winter? Did he move to Hawaii or Accelerated Aging Land? And Bobby sure like his big mustachio. Time marches on.

  2. God, that Washington Post review was weird. It’s pretty funny the way the reporter described Grateful Dead dancing: “the overbite-boogie.”

That must’ve been such a strange scene, legends tearing through classic Dead jams on stage and rich, incredulous donors not moving a muscle in response. Is that really government by the people? Where’s my Bonnaroo caucus?
