Crowded House mixes their classics with tunes from their latest album during their first appearance on Austin City Limits. The band’s come back with a vengeance after an 11-year layoff and is preparing to enter the studio to record a batch of new songs with Matt Sherrod on drums. The folks at ACL have kindly given Crowded House a full hour to display their wares for us.

Thanks for the heads up on the Greendale thing…
If you don’t have Greendale, tape it. I dig that album and the movie goes quite well with it.
Once watched High Fidelity with a girl I used to like, she thought it was a great idea because it had John Cusack (appealed to her) and vinyl records, which she knew appealed to me. All I really remember was I made her stop the movie and rewind because I noticed The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys in the background in one scene. I was like “that album is classic! Look, here’s my copy.” I don’t think she cared. Needless to say, that didn’t last much longer. A good thing if you ask me.
