Normally something like the passing of acting legend and NRA nut Charlie Heston wouldn’t get coverage here. But we’re unabashed Simpsons fans around these parts and for better or worse when I saw the news there was only on thing that popped into my head – Troy McClure’s show stopping role in Stop The Planet Of The Apes, I Want To Get Off!
So in honor of the guy who played Moses, and had this memorable encounter with Michael Moore, we give this classic clip of arguably one of the best songs the show had ever done – Dr. Zaius:

Well its not quite a mop and not quite a puppet…….

(I vote the Music Man take off of the Monorail for best song myself.)
