Wednesday Intermezzo: Wolfgang’s Vault Settles

After a few years of litigation Sony, BMG Music Entertainment, BMG Music, Arista Records, Santana and the Doors have finally settled with Wolfgang’s Vault. While this settlement doesn’t include the Dead, Led Zeppelin or any of the other artists suing the memorabilia brokers who bought Bill Graham’s archive for pennies on the dollar back in 2002. Meanwhile, Wolfgang’s Vault continues to offer Santana concerts and just added a bunch of Daytrotter Sessions from the likes of Spoon and The Headlights to their incredibly huge collection of free music.

Kudos to bassist Ryan Stasik, percussionist Andy Farag and Sound Caresser Kevin Browning of Umphrey’s McGee for completing the Chicago Accenture Triathlon, the largest triathlon in the world. Most rockers would enjoy a rare month off after months of touring, but these guys spent the time training for this grueling event.
