LoC: B-E-E-R R-U-N for Office

I thought it would be a wise decision to try out the product I’m actually reporting on. So yesterday during my lunch break, I went and purchased two new-to-Tennessee-but-not-new-to-me Magic Hat six packs (Lucky Kat and Circus Boy). I was happy when Fat Tire made it to the Volunteer state this summer, but Magic Hat has always held a special place in my heart. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have consumed my fair share of the 1 for $3, 2 for $5 #9’s in the Phish lot back in the day. Now, if we can only get the Saranac Trail Mix here my trifecta of beers will be complete!

But I digress on my habits of beer consumption, Magic Hat has once again teamed up with HeadCount to help get folks registered and participate in democracy. I’ve had my share of political discussions over a few drinks, so this partnership seems makes sense to me. Magic Hat will be sending brewery reps to bars and clubs where Magic Hat is sold and questioning patrons on topics about those running for the White House. The purpose of this is to get bar patrons actively thinking, registered and ready to participate in democracy on Election Day (Remember, remember the 5th 4th of November).

In addition to going out to the masses and getting beer knurds to participate in democracy, Magic Hat will offer up choices of beverages in the form of the new “Participation Pack.” This variety pack will feature the limited edition Participation Ale, which I’m most certainly looking forward to.

Also worth mentioning is that Magic Hat is having a contest you can enter to win an all-inclusive trip for four to NYC on November 1-4 that includes tickets to “An Election Eve: Get Out and Vote Party” which will be featuring many yet-to-be-announced HeadCount artists.

Personal Disclaimer: Pabst Blue Ribbon is always a standard in my household, especially during football season. But on election night, I will be raising a cold, refreshing pint of Participation Ale as I celebrate what all has been accomplished with both my work here and with HeadCount.

Until then — Cheers everyone!
