Back in the mid ’90s, Irving Plaza became Widespread Panic’s home away from home in New York City. Since those heady days, the band’s lineup has changed multiple times and the venue is now known as The Fillmore at Irving Plaza. On November 19, the Georgia boys return to their former haunt to rock it once again for an initimate Evening with Widespread Panic to benefit the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation. Well, Ain’t Life Grand.
JB and his brood will be in town to receive a special award at the 2008 Billboard Touring Awards on Nov. 20 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. The Allman Brothers Band and Bon Jovi will also be feted at this conference. Tickets for the Widespread Panic show go onsale October 18, the same day ducats for Phish’s return at Hampton go onsale. Talk about a tough ticket day. Check out Billboard’s article on the event for more information.

Did I just say out loud “I’ll be trying for Panic tickets first”?
I’m psyched! I thought it was gonna be a random assorted benefit…but “an evening with” is gonna be awesome!
Sweet.
people still listen to wsp? Do these people evolve with life, or are they still stuck in 1994?
