If you’ve been reading Hidden Track for a while, you probably know that we’re head over heels for James Murphy and his LCD Soundsystem project. We love the way that band melds punk, rock, dance and funk in a way that would make Tina Weymouth proud. Yesterday, news leaked out about Murphy’s latest project for his DFA record label and we couldn’t be more excited. If you don’t believe me, just feel these nipples.
Turns out Murphy has put together a rock band featuring LCD cohort Pat Maloney plus former Hockey Night members Paul Sprangers and Scott Wells. The group recently entered the studio to record an album and expect to release the material next year. As of now the band doesn’t have a name, but we can’t wait to hear what Murphy describes as “a rock record, a classic-rock record.” Bring that shit to us, holmes.

Hockey Night were / is a great Band. They released a great album a few years back entitled, “Keep Guessin”
