The Dark Star Orchestra celebrated their 11th Anniversary last night on 11/11 by debuting their version of the Grateful Dead classic The Eleven during the second set of their show at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH. The quintessential Grateful Dead tribute act also treated their fans to usually stellar versions of Not Fade Away, Viola Lee Blues, St. Stephen > The Eleven and encored with Box of Rain> Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
We’re glad this show went off without a hitch after quite the eventful weekend. DSO returns to New York City on Thanksgiving Weekend for a pair of shows on Friday and Saturday night at the Nokia. For DSO’s New Year’s Eve show Wednesday, December 31 at the Ram’s Head Live in Baltimore, MD, the band has just announced they will hand pick and recreate a 3-set show from one of the many Grateful Dead New Year’s Eve concerts. All NYE tickets include a champagne toast, party favors and finger foods.
