Saturday marks the 40th Anniversary of the release of The Beatles’ White Album, so I thought I’d grouse around YouTube looking for a cool clip for today’s Pullin’ ‘Tubes. Yet, I got sidetracked and instead came across a incredibly fascinating video of the recording of Don’t Let Me Down.
When The Beatles headed into Twickenham Studios in 1969 to record what would wind up being Let It Be they brought a film crew with them to record a documentary about the making of the LP. The resulting film, Let It Be, shows the turbulent struggles that led to the band breaking up. For instance, it must’ve been so annoying to have Yoko sitting around adding nothing.
