Update: Gossip On Rich Pagano’s New LP

We’re getting very excited to check out Rich Pagano’s full-length CD after hearing the three song EP he’s been giving out through his website and at Fab Faux shows. Rich recently shared an update about the new disc…

A bit of gossip: Ian Hunter’s vocal – Ian was so enthusiastic to sing a verse on a track called, Whiskey, Pills, Pornography that he gave me 10 takes, all with different slants. I went with the one that nods the most to Mott, of course. Working with Ian Hunter is the closest thing to working with Lennon, IMO. Ian’s level of poetic and his views on the fundamentals of rock and roll have been a wonderful muse for me. He’s also a great hang!

Trey Anastasio’s guitar playing – Turns out, Trey is a Duane Allman fan and really pushed that angle on the track, You Want To Get High, playing around Jimmy Vivino’s lead and Andy York’s rhythm. He smiles while he plays-and plays great!

We had a bit of a set back with the email server but are now rolling ahead with a NEW email address, [email protected]. The email on the back of the cd is now defunct but the website is still the same. Again, if you haven’t received a response OR your 3 song cd yet, please request it again.

Keep checking my temporary website, www.richpagano.com for all updates. This weekend we will be adding a news update page, complete with ‘in the studio’ photographs. A brand new website, where you can blog or leave messages is in the works as is announcements on solo acoustic shows.

We can’t wait to catch one of Rich’s solo acoustic shows and hear both Trey channeling Skydog and Hunter’s Mott-y vocal take. In the meantime, The Fab Faux rock The Grand in Wilmington, DE on Saturday and make their first appearance at NYC’s Terminal 5 on December 26 (Abbey Road and Let It Be) and 27 (The White Album) before heading out west in January for shows at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix and The Orpheum in L.A.
