Mountain Jam Festival Adds Some Umph

As if the initial lineup for this year’s Mountain Jam festival wasn’t killer enough on its own, the promoters have added a slew of impressive acts including Umphrey’s McGee, Gomez, Alberta Cross and the Gene Ween Band to the list. Also appearing at Hunter Mountain on May 29-31 will be Kreutzmann/Burbridge/Murawski and Richie Havens as part of the festival’s tribute to the 40th Anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Arts Fair.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, the Marco Benevento Trio, as well as Eric Krasno & Chapter 2 have also been added to the list of Mountain Jam performers, where they’ll join headliners the Allman Brothers Band. Gov’t Mule, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Girl Talk, Coheed & Cambria, The Derek Trucks Band, The Hold Steady, Richie Havens, Railroad Earth, Porter Batiste & Stoltz, Brett Dennen and The Lee Boys were all named as part of the initial lineup announcement. 1. been to nearly all of the Mountain Jams. Warren stands by his pals and when it’s time for Mountain Jam or Christmas Jam, his friends recipricate the favors back to Warren.

Love the Krasno, Duo and KDTU additions!

Also, think Phish will hurt this festie?

guess what…they don’t care. In fact, Most of the Mule-heavy crowd as this festival would rather see less of the Phish-element around Mtn Jam.

Great festival with another stellar lineup at an even more amazing price tag.

  2. I don’t think Phish will hurt the festival and I agree that the amazing price tag will help sell tickets. Quite a value in these hard economic times.

  3. most of allman fans are way more into them then phish. this fest should do fine. polls of the top jambands including those by rolling stone consistently rank allmans number 1 or 2 before then the dead then phish. for what it’s worth, which is not really much. just saying goff is right.
