Wilco has just announced a string of April dates that will take the band through the Midwest and South for nine shows. Prior to already announced festival appearances at Bonnaroo (June 11-14) and 10KLF (July 22-25), Wilco will snake through college towns including Bloomington, IN, Athens, OH, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL and Oxford, MS for its first tour of the year.
In August, Jeff Tweedy, who kicked off 2009 with a small batch of solo shows and will play Spain and Portugal in May and June by himself, told Albany radio station WAMC that the band planned to put out in album in 2009 so it will be interesting to see if any new songs are added to the rotation.

I hope they play a late night show at Jazzfest again this year. The one they played a few years ago was awesome.
