Beastie Boys Cancel Upcoming Tour Dates

Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys has a cancerous tumor in his left salivary gland that requires immediate treatment, according to a press release. As a result, the group has canceled all of its upcoming tour dates, and will push back the release of its forthcoming album, "Hot Sauce Committee Part 1."

"Luckily [the tumor] was caught early and is localized in one area, and as such is considered very treatable," said the press release. "It will however require surgery and several weeks of additional treatment. Fortunately the cancer is not in a location that will affect Yauch’s vocal cords."
