Tonight’s quite the night for music in the Big Apple. Umphrey’s returns to New York City for a pair of shows at the Nokia, The McLovins make their NYC debut at Sullivan Hall and U-Melt teams with Wyllys for a unique gig at B.B. King’s. Both Wyllys and U-Melt deliver high intensity performances each time out and tonight they’ll be treating the crowd to interlocking sets.
Wyllys at Work
The last time these two acts met up last December in Chicago they riffed on legendary Chicago house music by covering Groove Armada and Rhinocerus. Tonight, they’ll continue to focus on particular styles of beats native to the areas they play by dropping some patented NYC-style drum and bass. North Indiana Allstars featuring members of Umphrey’s McGee are also on the bill and will take the stage at Lucille’s. Quite a deal for a mere 18 bucks.
