Tea Leaf Green has joined the rest of the jamband world in embracing Twitter and to help promote their feed the California boys have come up with an innovative contest. Starting Monday (the 13th), and through Thursday (the 16th), every fan on Twitter that makes a post containing all of these words in any logical order (@tealeafgreen, Fillmore, 4/17-18, Earth Day, 8pm, http://tinyurl.com/sf417-18) will be entered to win a free show download from their live show catalog at livedownloads.com.
The most compelling post – as voted on by the band – will win.
Let’s see what else is goin’ on this morning…
- Dave Vann shot the Disco Biscuits in Cali for Glide
- Rivers Cuomo and Rainn Wilson cover Joan Osbourne
- TDS has video of The Specials reuniting on Jools Holland
- Gus Van Zant wants Jack Black and Woody Harrelson to star in the film adaptation of the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test
- List Time: The 10 Guitars That Changed Music [MR]
- Did Widespread Panic just break up with Colorado?
- Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams starts a Metal band
Finally, Billy Corgan wrote a sweet blog on SP.com about why he decided to continue on with the Smashing Pumpkins’ name. Quite the diatribe from Billy, but actually explains a lot. I still miss D’arcy and James Iha.
