Outformation: This is solid effort from the Atlanta-based Outformation. The strong guitar work makes up for some subpar vocals. Source: 3-20-2009

Dave “The Truth” Grippo plays this entire show with the Turkey Mafia folks and Seth Yacovone is also on additional guitar for this performance. Source: 9-2-2005

While Phish never played CYHMK full-on, they dropped jams of it a lot. Here’s a great one from the 11-4-1994 Weekapaug Groove.

The use of this song in Casino has always made me want to form a street gang
didnt even have to listen to it and i know moe did it the best
I don’t know what it is about the mid-Atlantic, CYHMK, and the North Miss boys (maybe it’s just the North Miss connection) but the last two times I’ve seen CYHMK covered, it was Umphrey’s with Luther Dickinson at Ram’s Head in BMore and moe. with Luther (and Cody) Dickinson at Wolf Trap (6/10/06) in Vienna, VA. For the record, moe. rocked it harder.
moe. wins hands down. UM is a close second.
No one can play this like Keith! That opeing riff is everything to the song and Keith is the only one with the DNA to do it. I’ve never liked any covers of this song, which I love, because no one has that sound and groove that Keith does.
