Back in the fall, we hinted that the venerable roots and Americana magazine, now webzine, No Depression would be hosting their own music festival this summer in Seattle, WA. Well, after months of waiting the folks at No Depression have finally revealed the details of their first ever festie that will take place at Marymoor Park in Redmond, just outside the Emerald City.
The one-day event, which will take place on July 11, will feature the likes of Gillian Welch, Iron & Wine, Patterson Hood & The Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Seattle Roots-Music All-Star Revue and Zee Avi.

Finally, here’s one for all you fans of female fronted bands out there as three decades worth of acts will join forces for the Call Me Invincible tour this summer. Headlined by Blondie, the 1970s punk pioneers will welcome ’80s rocker Pat Benatar and pop-punkers The Donnas for a 19 date cross-country tour that includes a free show in Coney Island on August 13.
