I happened to stop into Bierkraft in Park Slope the other day and tried their Italian Sandwich.  It is made from the finest cured meats and served on Ciabatta bread.  You can see the whole sandwich menu here.  Stop in and grab one, it is worth the money.

Grub Street said that Frank Bruni’s first tv interview after leaving the NY Times Dining Critic post will be on Nightline. It will air August 19, the day of his last review and the day before his book comes out.

Ed Levine Eats let us know that tickets are now on sale for the New York Culinary Experience 2009 taking place October 3rd and 4th. Only costs $1,395, start saving now.

For those readers that are in Brooklyn, Time Out NY’s The Feed share First Look: Enoteca on Court a new wine bar in Carrol Gardens including the food menu.  Looks worth checking out for sure.

Food & Wine’s Mouthing Off had nothing but great things to say about former Little Branch bartender Richard Boccato’s Dutch Kills in Long Island City.  I was there (again) after Taste of the Nation Wednesday night, drinks were tasty as always and Richie is a great host.  Make the trip to Queens folks, trust me on this one.

Yet another new food truck hitting the streets, The Cupcake Truck (via Midtown Lunch).
