Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Growing Up

Been on a bit of a new music kick with ‘Tubes, so figured why buck the trend considering the amount of great new releases coming our way. With that being said, we also don’t often cover too many female fronted acts around these parts so let’s kill two birds with one stone as we introduce you to the indie-pop stylings of the Brooklyn’s Elizabeth & The Catapult.

Fronted by Elizabeth Abby Ziman, the band brings a combination of instantly likable jangly folk-pop and lush Wall Of Sound-era ballads to its Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, M. Ward, Rilo Kiley)-produced debut Taller Children – which we highly recommend for fans of Fiona Apple and Regina Spektor. Let’s check out the video for the title track from the album…

Elizabeth & The Catapult are currently on the road, with a show tonight at The Thunderbird Cafe in Pittsburgh, PA – so go check them out.
