Here at Stormy Monday we believe in recycling. Recently, I happened upon a podcast from Philadelphia’s livetronic trio Telepath entitled Telepath Thirty Minute Mix, and found it to be a truly excellent dose of rhythm and North African/Middle Eastern layers and textures that warrants repeated listenings.
It’s so good that it’s this weeks mix, although it is prefaced here by the group’s contribution to the STS9 Peaceblaster Remix album that came out over the summer, which is a massively long document drawing on just about everyone ever sited as an influence by the band, and plenty who have been influenced by STS9, and all the proceeds go to rebuilding homes in NOLA–good music for a good cause.
