Earlier this month we ran a virtual costume contest where folks submitted ideas for their best Phish-related costume contests and now that Festival 8 is finally upon us we’re asking our readers to look out for the best costumes on site. We’ll have further details next week, but if you see a great Phish-related – or even scene-related – costume at F8 please take a picture for us.

In other Festival 8 news, Pink Floyd’s The Wall, The Yes Album and Frank Zappa’s Apostrophe have been “killed off” from the animation on Phish.com.
That leaves 12 albums remaining…
Hunky Dory
The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars
The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
Electric Ladyland
Larks’ Tongues In Aspic
Led Zeppelin I
Oracular Spectacular
Thriller
Purple Rain
Kid A
Exile on Main Street
Astral Weeks
Which of the remaining albums are you pulling for? For much more on F8 – including plenty of spoilers – head to Jamtopia’s Festival 8 Page.

electric ladyland, Led Zeppelin 1 and Kid A are all still there…
It’s gotta be one of those.
I’ve heard a lot of Astral Weeks covers by bands I’m a fan of, but still feel nobody can do it like Van The Man… I think led zep makes sense
BandsThatJam.com is reporting that it will be Larks’ Tongues In Aspic.
You know that there is battleplan.pdf with the set-up for Festival 8 floating around which names 7 out of the 8 albums, don’t you?
Hans,
We keep spoiler-free over here. Plenty of other sites folks can go to for that sort of thing.
Just have to vent a little that the leak of that map and the internet kinda put a big damper on the surprise. I used to like surprises.
Other things I used to like that the internet ruined:
Record Stores
Video Stores
Newspapers
Books
Privacy
Accountability
I can’t go to 8, so I’m in full self-loathing mode. Sorry end of rant.
