Finally, most official live recordings that get sold on the web come from two-track recordings which gives the engineers little room to tweak the recordings. Widespread Panic has bucked that trend with the release of the first “Instant Classic” multi-track recording featuring the band’s New Year’s Eve show from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. It’s unbelievable how good these MP3 sound and how quickly WSP archivist Horace Moore and sound engineer Chris Rabold got them ready for distribution.
