Philadelphia has been pounded by snow for the past week, but the show goes on for Trey Anastasio and Classic TAB. Trey grew up nearby in Princeton, so this is a hometown show of sorts for the former 70 Volt Parade vocalist. In the first set, Big Red debuted a song he wrote with longtime songwriting partner Tom Marshall – who was in attendance – called Obstacle Of Course and dedicated the tune to Marshall’s daughter. Ether Sunday made its tour debut and the ensemble busted out Toots and the Maytals’ Sweet and Dandy for the first time in nearly six years.

sick show! great energy! got my Alive Again.
i’ve always been a trey fluffer so take it or leave it here, but this new lineup is already well-lubed and firing on all cylinders.
trey’s and the other’s voices are on-point this tour and after listening to the first 3 shows, it’s obvious the jamming is staring to emerge. Watchout Trey Phans – by the time TAB hits the midwest, it’ll be quite the show.
