The second round artist announcement for Camp Bisco 9 has dropped this afternoon. Joining the Biscuits, Ween, LCD Soundsystem and other acts initially announced will be Method Man, Ghostface Killah, & Raekwon (“Wu Massacre”), Break Science With Special Guest Talib Kweli, Holy Fuck, Caribou, RAQ, Tipper, Beats Antique, Welder and The Constellations. Tickets are currently available for Camp Bisco 9 which takes place at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY on July 15-17.
The Spirit of Suwanee Park in Live Oak, FL has added yet another festival to its calendar as the first annual Blackwater Music Festival featuring Slightly Stoopid, Michael Franti & Spearhead, JJ Grey & Mofro, Rebelution, the Disco Biscuits, STS9 and 20 acts to be announced at a later date is currently scheduled for August 26-28. Tickets go on sale April 30.
Every year when the lineup for the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest comes out we can’t help but think this event’s producers top all of the other summer festies with an eclectic bill featuring some of the best names in the biz. Of course with two weeks and seven stages, the Bluesfest does have an advantage. This year’s lineup continues the sick lineup trend with Rush, Furthur, Crowded House, Weezer, the Flaming Lips, Levon Helm, Jimmy Cliff, Passion Pit and Arcade Fire among the dozens of bands that will perform between July 6 – 18 in the Canadian capital. Color us jealous.

I have been to bear creak once and wanee twice and this is by far my favorite music festival grounds that I have ever been too. I really think this festival will be one of a kind and I bet we will see 2 nights of STS9 and tDB..
