Bloggy Goodness: Ryan Digs Into His Archive

Before the March release of the metal-influenced Orion on vinyl, it had been two whole years since we’d heard anything in the way of new material from Ryan Adams. While that might seem like an acceptable period of time for most artists, for the usually prolific as fuck Adams it seemed like an eternity.

For his next set of releases, Adams will be digging into his vault for two unreleased albums. According to a post on his Facebook page we should expect the double LP III / IV that was recorded with his old backing band The Cardinals, and Blackhole, which he called “basically Love Is Hell Part Three.” No word yet on when these albums will be available.

Finally, next weekend the Bob Weir and Phil Lesh-led Furthur will take to the stage for a two-night run at MCU Park in Coney Island, the home of the New York Mets single-A affiliate the Brooklyn Cyclones. The team, who is celebrating their tenth season, will commemorate the band’s appearance by donning special tie-dye uniforms for their game on June 21 versus the Aberdeen Iron Birds that will be auctioned off throughout the game.
