Phish @ the Comcast Theatre in Hartford – Night Two: Setlist & Recap

Last Sunday night in Hershey, Phish ran into curfew issues before they were able to cap the night with Tweezer Reprise so when the band finally did play Tweezer again, five nights later at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, they decided to make up for the lost version by performing Reprise twice to end the second show of a two-night stand at the massive venue resulting in one of the more deafening roars of approval these ears have ever heard.

While the Tweezer Reprise Reprise was the feel-good moment of the night, there were plenty of other strong points during another marathon performance in the heart of Phish Country. Light featured a potent dose of improv, the pretty Summer of ’89 – a new Trey original – was debuted after being soundchecked in Portsmouth and a megaphone-less Fee opened a show for the first time since 1995. Other moments of note include a patient Harry Hood jam, terrific interplay between the band members in Reba and a “by request” version of Sleeping Monkey that preceded the double Reprise for a fan who had brought a sign asking for the tune on Thursday.
