F4tF: Summer Reading – Food Blog Style Pt. 1

Blondie and Brownie – They do the blog, are on Twitter, have a great flickr feed for all of  their pictures and even share their favorite food related sites & recent postings on them.  I check their feed often to see what they are up to and into.

Chocolate and Zucchini – A Paris-based food blog.  I like it because in the back of my mind I am always planning another food getaway to Paris and this a great resource as you get a Parisian’s perspective.  Here is part of the blog description “Chocolate & Zucchini is a blog written by Clotilde Dusoulier, a 24 25 26 27 28 29 30-year-old Parisian woman who lives in Montmartre and shares her passion for all things food-related — thoughts, recipes, musings, cookbook acquisitions, quirky ingredients, nifty tools, restaurant experiences, ideas, and inspirations.

Cobble Hill Blog – Not 100% food related but they do post a lot of food related stuff such as openings, closings etc..Also they share great stuff they find on other Brooklyn-centric blogs.

Cold Mud – Not New York based at all but a great food news aggregator.  Can’t recommend this site highly enough.  If you want the latest food news from around the world, this is your one stop site.  Here is their description of the site: “Cold Mud aims to deliver a daily snapshot of the most important, interesting and amusing food and drink writing from all over the world.  It now has an archive of over 12,000 stories that can be searched by key word and by month and year by clicking ‘Archive’ on the bar. It is a no-machine news aggregator.  All stories are hand picked by a human, Eugen Beer.

Diner’s Journal: Notes on Eating, Drinking and Cooking – From the NY Times, enough said!

Eat It: The Brooklyn Food Blog – Subtitled ” We eat about 75,000 meals in a lifetime. I want all of them to be awesome.”  No description needed!

Eating in Translation – They do a great weekly Food-Friendly Events posting every Friday for the upcoming week.  A lot of the events are cool, smaller outer borough stuff as well.  I check it every Friday for stuff worth checking out.

That’s the end of part 1.

More links to come next week, after you finish digesting these..
