On October 12 recent Blips act The Moondoggies will release their sophomore full length effort Tidelands via Hardly Art. The Seattle-based act were recently the subjects of a pretty compelling mini-documentary, that’s reminded me a lot of the interview portions of The Last Waltz, down to the fact that keyboard player Caleb Quick even kind of looks like The Band’s own keys player Richard Manuel. The Moondoggies, who put on a killer live show, will head out with another former Blips act Dawes for a short tour, but prior to that will play a headlining gig at New York City’s Mercury Lounge on October 27. You can download the band’s first single from Tidelands at their Facebook page.
