Brian Wilson Announces 50th Anniversary ‘Pet Sounds’ Tour

As indicated by earlier festival dates and performances that have popped and gone on sale, Brian Wilson has now officially announced a world tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pet Sounds – the 1966 landmark Beach Boys album largely considered among the greatest ever.  It opens March 26 in Auckland, New Zealand, before moving through Japan, Europe and, in June, to the U.S. Check out the dates below.

Wilson and his band will be joined by former bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin when they kick off the tour this Spring. . Fans can expect a live performance of Pet Sounds in its entirety, as well as top hits and fan favorites spanning his 54-year career with The Beach Boys and as a solo artist. According to the press release, these will be Wilson’s last performances of Pet Sounds. “It’s really been a trip to sit here and think about releasing Pet Sounds 50 years ago,” he said. “I love performing this album with my band and look forward to playing it for fans all across the world.”
