Boognish Rises! Watch Fan-Shot Videos Of Ween’s First Show Since 2011 at 1st Bank Center In Colorado

Fans of the Brown rejoiced on Friday night at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado when Ween took to the stage for the first time since 2011. The band parted ways after an abrupt break-up in 2012 and has since announced a handful of shows, including festival appearances at Bonnaroo, LEVITATION and others. Friday’s show was the first of three taking place on Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day weekend in Colorado that finally brings Gener, Deaner, keyboardist Glenn McClelland, drummer Claude Coleman Jr. and bassist Dave Dreiwitz back together despite doubts that such a reunion would be possible given previous tensions between the band members.

Ween hit the stage and opened appropriately with “What Deaner Was Talkin’ About” before diving headfirst in a massive 33-song setlist that spanned the length of their career and included loads of fan favorites. Songs like “Buckingham Green”, “Bananas And Blow”, “Roses Are Free”, “Mister Richard Smoker” and “Wavin’ My Dick In The Wind” all made appearances. Keeping with the festive spirit of the weekend and the positivity radiating from the newly reunited band, Ween closed out the night on a high with “Fiesta” segueing into “Buenos Tardes Amigo”, leaving us all happy and wondering how the rest of the three-night run will go. There are still tons of Ween songs and covers to be played.
