David Bowie Posthumously Wins Five Grammy Awards

The 59th annual Grammy Awards Presentation took place Sunday night (2/12/17) in Los Angeles, and while the televised portion gave plenty of screen time to Adele, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and TwentyOne Pilots, let’s give a shoutout to the untelevised award winners. Aside from Adele pulling down some major categories, David Bowie posthumously was the real big winner by picking up all five Grammys for which it was nominated: best recording package, engineered album – non-classical, alternative music album, rock performance and rock song (the latter two for the title song).
