Welcome to the dream store.  Well technically, it was a practice space in Los Angeles.   However, after some thought, the practice space could very well be where certain dreams got started.

Los Angeles-based band, Indians, is on their way to making all their dreams come true.  All it took was some unyielding support from loyal fans, a music video premiere and lastly, but most importantly, a little bit of talent.

When Los Angeles welcomed Indians into their local music culture, music fans were still mourning the break-up of one of their favorites – a punk act called The Ringers.  It was fronted by the extremely charismatic, Joe Hursley (who may be recognized by his many television spots and commercials).  The break-up of The Ringers left their fans distraught, but not too long after, Hursley, along with his cousin Joe, returned with a vengeance.  This time new recruits, guitarist Michael Hays and bassist Mike McGill, joined them.

Now with Indians, with half of the members being former Ringers, and the other half brand-new, but greatly appreciated all the same, Los Angeles is smiling again.  Many attended the record release show for their self-titled debut at The Viper Room in July and the band continues to play around the Los Angeles area.  Their October residency at the Silverlake Lounge enabled them to play with various acts and give their fans more opportunities to rock out.

It continues to get better.  On November 18, 2011, filmmaker Jordan Albertsen premiered “Sink Into You,” a short film/music video that features this track off of the Indians’ record.  The event’s attendees, many of whom of course were members of the Hollywood film industry, positively received it.  After the short film, Indians displayed a little dose of their pop-punk prowess, and ended their set with the slower, and melodically beautiful video track.

Now as the band continues to write new material, sights are set on next year’s world famous South By Southwest in Austin, TX.  Bringing their noise to the popular music festival can only make them stronger.  With a debut that has already captured the hearts and ears of Los Angeles, there is no doubt that many others will take notice. This is the stuff that dreams are made of.
