The Black Keys are teaming up with the Flaming Lips for a handful of dates in the U.S. in late April and early May. The Black Keys are headlining with The Flaming Lips listed as the special guest on all four gigs.
The outing marks the first U.S. appearances booked for The Black Keys in 2013. The band winded down 2012 by playing the special guest role for The Rolling Stones in Newark, N.J., in mid-December, followed by two New Year’s Eve headline shows in Las Vegas.
The Black Keys/Flaming Lips dates:
April 28 – Kansas City, Mo., Sprint Center
April 30 – Pittsburgh, Pa., Consol Energy Center
May 2 – Atlanta, Ga., Aaron’s Amphitheatre At Lakewood
May 3 – Nashville, Tenn., Bridgestone Arena
Tickets for The Black Keys/Flaming Lips dates go on sale to the public Jan. 11. A presale for Nashville begins Jan. 10.
