Gov’t Mule, Trombone Shorty, City and Colour, Felice Brothers Lead Grand Point North

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals along with Higher Ground Presents have announced the 3rd annual Grand Point North Music Festival will take place on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15, 2013.

The main stage line-up for the 2013 festival will include Southern rock jam band Gov’t Mule, New Orleans soul/funk band Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, soul and R&B singer Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires, Canadian singer/songwriter City and Colour,  country rock band The Felice Brothers, and Charleston-based county/rock band Shovels & Rope. The festival will take place at Burlington’s Waterfront Park.

“This is the year when Grand Point North is gonna stake its claim as one of the must-see festivals,” said Grace Potter.  “I’m already feeling the momentum. It’s gratifying to have created a destination festival in a picturesque city overlooking the Adirondacks and know that people are coming no matter who is playing.

In addition to the talent on the main stage, some of the best bands of Burlington will be featured on the second stage, including Josh Panda & The Hot Damned, Scott Tournet & Ver La Luz, Belle Pines featuring Brett Hughes & The Honkey Tonk Tuesdays, Alpenglow, Rough Francis, Kat Wright & The Indomitable Soul Band, Natalie Prass featuring Benny Yurco and Paper Castles.

“Grand Point North is one of those festivals that’s going to endure, not based on massive numbers—we’re always going to keep it human-scaled—but because people know it’s going to be a spirited event that you can’t experience anywhere else,” continued Potter.
