    After goodnights McCartney played “Back in the USSR” and “I Saw Her Standing There.”

  2. I was totally aware of the record he was setting (just as I was in ’93 when he did a then-record three songs), but let’s not pump it up more than it was. He did four songs for the broadcast, not five. ‘A Day In The Life’ and ‘Give Peace A Chance’ were a medley, which only counts as one song. But if you wanna get technical, the medley could be considered one and a half songs if you then also count his final song as only a half since it was cut off (and that would still total four).
